Scherzo SM-C18 consists of C18 + anion + cation ligands. It can be used in either RP + IEX mode,
or RP + NP mode.
Ions are typically analyzed via IC. Scherzo SM-C18 enables the analysis of ions via HPLC. Detectors such as ELSD, CAD, MS, ect., can be used to detect such solutes. In the data below, a pH gradient was used to separate anions from cations:

The analysis of (underivatized) zwitterions, such as AA, is challenging.
The data below shows analysis of zwitterions on Scherzo SM-C18; either by RP + IEX or RP + NP.
The data shows there is an opportunity to separate zwitterion and hydrophobic solute with Scherzo SM-C18.
